About the Channel

The YouTube channel “Gorilla Diary” documents the daily lives and growth of gorillas, focusing mainly on the Momotaro family at Kyoto City Zoo.
We hope our videos will make you smile on a tiring day, bring you comfort through the adorable gorillas, and give you a little boost of energy.
We also hope our videos will make you want to visit the gorillas or give you the feeling of having visited them in person.

Filming

The videos are filmed by my partner and me.
We visit Kyoto City Zoo approximately four times a month to observe and film the gorillas.

We always try to be considerate of other visitors and follow proper etiquette while filming, so as not to inconvenience anyone.

We take care to avoid capturing other visitors in our footage, and blur their faces if they appear.
We also blur reflections in the glass when necessary.
As a result, some footage may be difficult to see, and the images may not always be perfectly clear.
Thank you for your understanding.
We also remove audio of visitors’ conversations except where necessary, and add background music.
